Lager League at Cinderlands Warehouse

Fall 2023 Cinderlands Lager League season kicks off on Wednesday, September 13, 2023! This is the rec league for people who enjoy friendly beer-in-hand competition. The fall 2023 season runs for six weeks on Wednesday nights from 6-9 PM, starting Wednesday, September 13 - October 18th.

FALL 2023 SEASON OF LAGER LEAGUE

On league nights, the first floor Game Room of the Cinderlands Warehouse is reserved for Lager League members. We drink from exclusive league steins, get first access to new lager releases, and try to collect as many points as possible playing our friends and rivals on our house games: 

  • Bocce on our custom indoor court (up to 4v4)

  • Foosball on our Tornado Classic table (up to 2v2)

  • Dome hockey on our Super CHEXX Pro NHL table (1v1)

  • Cornhole on our custom Cinderlands boards (2v2)

  • Shuffleboard on our custom Cinderlands tables (2v2)

  • Ping Pong on our HEAD Summit table (1v1)

We may rotate in a surprise weekly special game. Special games subject to change and may not be announced prior to league night.

We keep score and put out a current ranking after each league night via mailing list as well as on a physical leaderboard at the Cinderlands Warehouse. Imagine strolling in with friends or a special someone to put a few back while your name rests gloriously atop the Lager League board behind the bar. IT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU (YES, YOU)!

Every week, winners earn prizes like Cinderlands and Lager League gear and gift cards to our favorite bars, restaurants, and experiences around town. At the end of the season, the grand prize will go to our top-ranked league member which is the brewer-for-a-day experience.

Some games are 1v1 while others are team efforts. There will be more details on scoring on league night, but for now what you should know is that you will receive some points for playing and losing a game, whether you lose individually or with a team, and you will receive more points for playing and winning a game, whether you win individually or with a team. Everyone on a team that wins or loses takes the win or loss. The points for playing and losing encourage showing up and getting involved; being there every week gives you a points advantage. The points for winning are for glory and can more than make up the difference between being there all six sessions or not.

Scoring is done on the honor system. You pick up your own scorecard each week, keep your own score throughout the night, and scan the QR code, submit score, then turn your card back in at the end of the night. The scorecard is set up to balance encouraging attendance, rewarding victory, spreading competitors around to all the available games, and keeping play moving. Your scorecard and signs around the room will convey critical information, like the game rules, number of competitors, winning score, etc.

Scoring is strictly restricted to games started after 6 PM and completed before 9 PM. You may pick up your scorecard up to 15 minutes before the start of the session, but no earlier, and you may not score games you start before 6 PM.

We practice open play and fair rotation. Nobody from Cinderlands will insert themselves to manage waiting lists for games, length of games, or other matters involving flow or speed of play. We ask that every league member practice the golden rule of treating others how you would like to be treated. Make sure everyone gets a turn, don’t hog the table, make new friends, be nice to your neighbor (even if one of you is kicking the other’s ass), and drink lager together.

On the first league night, you will be issued a numbered Lager League keychain. This is yours to keep forever. If you’re league member 017, you will forever be 017, regardless of whether you take a season off or not. This number will go on your scorecards and accompany your name on the leaderboard. On the back of your keychain, we’ll apply a current-season sticker to show that you’re a current-season member. Show your stickered keychain to pick up your scorecard each week and to redeem your perks at Cinderlands.

Your Lager League membership (with the appropriate season sticker) entitles you to a 10% discount at all Cinderlands locations during the current season, assuming you are participating in that season. That’s anytime you come in, not just league nights. The discount applies to the first $100 you purchase a day, so no booking your wedding and trying to pull the league card when it’s time to settle up!

At the time of sign-up, you have the opportunity to purchase two exclusive Lager League items: a Lager League t-shirt and a Lager League stein. These are discounted at the time of sign-up, but go to regular price anytime after that. 

  • Lager League stein: $8 at sign-up, $12 thereafter

  • Lager League t-shirt: $15 at sign-up, $20 thereafter

Registration is open until Lager League is full on a first-come, first-served basis. We have room for 80 members this season. There is no refund for canceling or withdrawing a membership. Memberships are non-transferable.

Cinderlands Beer Co. reserves the right to revoke Lager League memberships and its benefits for cheating, unearned valor, unsportsmanlike behavior, aggression, disrespect for people or property, failure to follow rules, or other conduct damaging to Cinderlands, its property, Lager League, or the spirit of recreational competition.
