HOST - CINDERLANDS FOEDERHOUSE - APPLY HERE
We are searching for a friendly and fun host at our Foederhouse brewpub in Pittsburgh’s dynamic Lawrenceville neighborhood. We’re looking for someone to provide friendly, professional service to create an exceptional dining experience for all guests. Each person’s primary objective is to show our guests such an enjoyable time they will want to return again and again.
Responsibilities:
* Welcome and greet ALL guests with a smile. Remember, you are the 1st impression that they get of Cinderlands when they walk in the door.
* Make all guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
* Answering phone: Knowledge when answering phones to answer questions guests may have.
Hours, happy hour, features / specials, reservations
* Extensive knowledge of OpenTable and how to use it appropriately.
* Taking names & party sizes; quoting appropriate wait times, reading back phone numbers
* Be aware of any tables that are not greeted within 2 minutes. Assist with greeting as needed.
* Rolling silverware.
* Inspect table for proper presentation and completeness.
* Checking restrooms to make sure they are fully stocked throughout the shift.
* Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
Requirements:
Life-defining passion for food- and beverage-driven hospitality
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Minimum one year in full-service hospitality
Reliable means of transportation
Weekend Availability
Compensation:
Position type: part time; weekend availability a must
Total cash compensation $5/hour plus tips
